Tomb of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman

The birthplace of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the leader of Bangladesh's independence, was born in Tungipara upazila of Gopalganj. He was born here on 17 March 1920. On 15 August 1975, he was buried in this place when he was brutally killed. Later in the year 1999-2000, a modern tomb constructed in this mausoleum. The mausoleum is a modern architecture built in the square. Here is the Bangabandhu Bhaban Museum. In the grave complexes you will see flower gardens and artificially made small tilas. Here you can see the memorial home of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu.

        

To visit the tomb of the Father of the Nation, You have to go to Tungipara Upazila Bus Station from Gopalganj District and from there rickshaw, van or any other vehicles are available to the tomb.
